Positive Deviance

Positive deviance (PD) can shape the care provided in our health care system, improving quality and patient safety along the way. PD is defined as, “an approach to social change that enables communities to discover the wisdom they already have, and then to act on it” (Singhal, Buscell, & Lindberg, 2010, p. xvii).
